VINCE CLEAVER Played by Eddie Campbell Vince, a wiry man in his mid-forties, is the owner of a nearby (girlie) strip club - a "Mr Big" in the world of tits and arse. He's been in the business for years and has seen a lot of newbies come and go - sometimes he's played a part in making sure they go. Misogynistic creep, male chauvinist pig, shameless pervert ("Come on, you'll have to do better than that, love!") - he's heard it all. But it's water off a wet T-shirt to Vince. He's been round longer than anyone. And he aims to keep it that way. While Vince's undoubtedly slimy, as a villian he's 'a bit dodgy' rather than truly evil. Within the moral and business parameters he has devised over the years, he acts very consistently. He's also a pragmatist: if one approach isn't working, he's quick to turn 180 degrees and try something different. He prides himself that he takes care of "his girls". He genuinely sees them as part of a surrogate family, even though he's effectively their pimp.
